I spent the past few days in Los Angeles attending The Blue Star of Saturn workshop taught by Harijiwan and Tej and visiting The Broad Museum where Yayoi Kusama is exhibiting her immersive Infinity Rooms. I walked away from this trip with a deeper realization of the AMAZING POWER OF REPETITION. Each of us is an Infinity Mirror - reflecting e n d l e s s creativity, love, and hope. Linking wisdom and purity we are finite beings with infinite potential.
Our brain is a magnifier and repeater, it creates neural pathways by repeating actions, thoughts and habits. Each repetition deepens the thought pathway like a deeply grooved gear. We are repeating what we already know because it produces a desired effect, but do we really desire the effect or is it because it feels familiar? Each repetition of similar behavior increases the intensity of the thought and convinces you that it is real. Many times these habits, patterns and actions are limiting and are not aligned with what brings us happiness, love and hope.
In Kundalini Yoga and Meditation we use the repetition of mantra, breath and movement to reprogram our brain and realign ourselves with our infinity and endless potential to live our lives to the fullest. Each repetition of a kriya or meditation gives you a deeper experience of infinity and your truth.
“My idea was to bring out the unknown parts in people by reflecting the mirror of time with my mirror.” -Yayoi Kusama
